Film and Good Company: Ivy

Ivy and I have never hung out before, we never really even talked before this. Our first encounter was at my family's tofu shop when she came in with Kevin. Her often dyed hair made her hard to miss.

Despite having no past relations we got a long quickly probably because she was also an opinionated graphic designer, so we had a lot to talk about: our favourite design aesthetics, typography and working with printers (nerdy design stuff).

Design and good photography go hand and hand, so obviously when I found out she had a camera and film, we had to go shooting!

2 DESIGNERS. 1 JETTY.

Ivy showed me up. I thought one camera was enough. She brought 3.

Iona Jetty in Richmond is near YVR airport and is famous for a long jetty that juts out into the water. It's a pretty long walk down a gravel path with nothing but water and rocks surrounding you. There are kilometre markers painted to track your trek down the jetty.

LONG WALKS DESERVE GOOD COMPANY.

Hopefully I'll be seeing Ivy around more often maybe even get the chance to work together on a project some time in the future!

Keep up with Ivy
